Marriages and Couples

Relationships are one of the most important aspects of our lives and scientific understanding is that the quality of close relationships is significantly linked to our emotional well-being and overall happiness. Relationships can be wonderful when they are working well; when they are not they can be extremely painful and destructive for both parties and impact negatively on other loved ones. While all couples have to manage commonplace differences in hopes, expectations, values, interests, ambitions and rates of personal growth and change over time, some find themselves at a painful impasse. Other couples might have to deal with more significant crises and breakdowns in trust occurring in the context of poor communication, ongoing arguments, jealousies, commitment issues, emotional or sexual infidelities and affairs, and abuse.

Whatever the sexual- or gender orientation and declared relationship status of the individuals involved; whether it is just one party, or both, attending therapy to work on the relationship: we provide Couple therapy for those facing challenges in their relationship, whether those challenges include to enhance the quality of an already largely stable relationship or to manage conflicts or crises, including around parenting.
