What our clients say

“Amongst the many positive outcomes, my gaining the insight to identify unhelpful behaviours/ thought patterns, question them and enact lasting changes has been hugely beneficial to me. It has genuinely given me a sense of freedom from a lifetime of anxiety. Dr Mark has a really excellent manner and is extremely professional. A true credit to the profession, I highly recommend.”

Therapist, Dr Mark Flynn

“I had a very positive experience working with Michelle on a range of issues over a number of years. She is highly relatable, professional, and I am very pleased to say that the treatment was incredibly successful. It always felt that sufficient time was given to explore issues properly, but also that we were always working towards a purpose and conclusion. Would highly recommend.”

Therapies and approaches we use

Cognitive-behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on the links between thinking, feeling and behaviour in attempting to understand and treat emotional difficulties and problematic behaviours.

Mentalisation-based Therapy (MBT)

MBT is a psychotherapeutic approach that aims to help individuals to mentalise - that is, to make sense of our own and others’ mental states, so as to function more effectively.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is a psychotherapeutic approach that draws on Mindfulness in encouraging individuals to stay focused on the present moment and accept their thinking and feeling experiences without judgement.

Integrative Therapy (IT)

IT is a psychotherapeutic approach that draws upon a wide range of the above, and other, psychotherapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, SFT, CFT, etc.) and integrates them in attempting to understand and treat an individual’s unique difficulties.

Schema-focused Therapy (SFT)

SFT is a psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on how repeating ‘life traps’ have been caused by core emotional needs having gone unmet in childhood, and how these traps can be identified and healthier patterns developed.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is an approach to personal experience that aims to help the individual become more fully alert to and accepting of the present moment, through a range of techniques involving breathing and meditation.

Person-centred Therapy (PCT)

PCT is a non-directional psychotherapeutic approach that centres the client’s feelings, needs and values and explores these as part of a process of encouraging greater self-awareness and self-actualisation.

Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT)

CFT is a psychotherapeutic approach that aims to help individuals with highly critical and judgemental mindsets who typically experience blame and shame as a result.

Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

MBCT is a psychotherapeutic approach that integrates elements of both CBT and Mindfulness; it can be especially helpful for tackling repeating/enduring major depression.

Psychodyanamic Therapy (PT)

PT is a psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on exploring unconscious processes and the possible compromising influences of the past on the present.
